How to Say for Android — Terms of Use
Effective November 1, 2026. These terms apply only to the How to Say app for Android, published on Google Play by SAYAN YAZILIM TEKNOLOJI ANONIM SIRKETI ("we", "us"). By using the app you agree to these terms. Our How to Say for Android Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.
Who can use How to Say
How to Say is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it, and you must be allowed to use it under the laws where you live.
Your account
You can practice as a guest, or sign in with Google or with an email address and password. Keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens in your account. Your account is personal: don't share it or sell access to it.
AI practice
How to Say uses AI (Google Gemini) to play the other person in your practice conversations, give feedback, build custom situations and translate text. Before your voice or conversation text is sent to Google, the app asks for your agreement.
AI replies can be wrong, inappropriate or not suited to your situation. How to Say is a language-practice tool. Nothing in it is legal, medical, financial, immigration or other professional advice. If a reply seems harmful or wrong, use the report button in the conversation and we will review it.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- use the app to create or share content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or that exploits minors;
- try to make the AI produce harmful content or get around its safety limits;
- enter other people's personal information, or sensitive information about yourself, into custom situations;
- copy, resell, scrape or reverse-engineer the app or its content;
- try to gain unauthorized access to our services or interfere with them.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you type and say in the app. You give us permission to store and process it, including sending it to Google Gemini as described in the privacy policy, only to provide and improve How to Say. How to Say has no public profiles: what you create is not shown to other users.
Our content
The situations, expressions, explanations, audio, images and design in How to Say belong to us or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable licence to use them in the app while you have an account.
Premium subscription
Some situations are free. Premium unlocks every situation, custom situations and free conversation practice. Premium is a yearly subscription bought through Google Play, and the price is shown in the app before you buy.
- If your subscription starts with a free trial, you are charged when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.
- The subscription renews automatically every year until you cancel it.
- You can cancel at any time in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Premium stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Deleting your account or uninstalling the app does not cancel your subscription.
- If the price changes, Google Play notifies you before the new price applies, as its rules require.
Refunds
Google Play processes all payments, so refunds follow Google Play's refund policies. We cannot issue refunds for Google Play purchases ourselves, but if something went wrong, email support@atlasvocabulary.com and we will help. This does not affect any rights you have under the consumer laws of your country.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time in Profile → Delete account, or without the app on our How to Say account deletion page.
Changes to the app
We may add, change or remove features, and the app may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance or when a service we rely on is down.
Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, How to Say is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not promise any particular learning result.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for How to Say in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will post changes on this page and update the effective date above. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the app.
